Geen groots programma, wel leuke thema's naar mijn mening!

Allereerst: alle munten (1 cent - 2 euro) worden voor de circulatie geslagen.

Verzamelaarsmunten:
- 15 euro Ernest Walton, nobelprijswinnaar
- 15 euro "150ste geboortedag van W.B. Yeats"
- 10 euro "70 jaar Vrede in Europa". (Europaster Serie)

BU-set "Flora & Fauna in de zee"

Nog niet officieel bevestigd, maar wel zéér aannemelijk gezien de aankondiging door meerdere landen al:

- 2 euro herdenkingsmunt "30 jaar Europese Vlag" (gemeenschappelijke uitgifte alle euro EU-landen).

Of er dan traditioneel weer een Proofset verschijnt is op dit moment nog niet bekend, meer duidelijkheid op korte termijn

The 2015 Annual Mint Set is now available to purchase. The seas around Ireland have provided a source of food and security while encouraging a long tradition of skilled sailors. This 2015 Uncirculated Euro Coin Set pays tribute to Ireland’s proud maritime heritage and its costal flora and fauna.

The issue limit is 10,000.

The coin set can be ordered by phoning the numbers listed below if paying by credit/debit card or by downloading an order form if paying by cheque/postal order. Coins can also be purchased at our Dame Street office (cash and card payments accepted). Opening hours are Mon-Fri 10am – 3:30pm, excl. public holidays.

Central Bank of Ireland schreef:

2015 €15 Silver Proof Coin (Ernest Walton)

This €15 silver proof coin honours Irishman Professor Ernest Walton and is the second coin in our Science and Inventions series. Walton and his Cambridge colleague John Cockcroft shared a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1951 for ‘disintegrating the nucleus of the lithium atom by bombardment with accelerated protons’. The coin will be launched on 13 January 2015.

The design, by Irish artist Rory Breslin, portrays his impression of the manoeuvres of the experiment and the resulting explanation of Einstein’s famous mass/energy equivalence equation, E="mc2" . The issue limit is 6,000 pieces. The diameter is 38.61 mm and the coin weighs 28.28 grammes. The coin is struck in .925 Sterling Silver.
