Dit staat er los van. Mijn contact bij de Bank of Greece heeft hier nog geen informatie over.

Bovenstaande staat gepland, maar wat ik nog wel kan toevoegen is dat Griekenland ook voor 2012 een nationale 2 euro herdenkingsmunt op het programma heeft staan.

Verdere details zijn nog niet bekend en het programma is ook onder voorbehoud.

In het nieuwe programma vind ik wel een proofset, maar geen tweede 2 euro herdenkingsmunt.
Het zou natuurlijk kunnen dat dit niet als numismatisch product wordt gezien, maar ik vind dat niet echt waarschijnlijk.

De informatie die ik toen kreeg was van een voorlopig programma.

Unofficially besides the 2€ commemorative coin dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Euro banknotes and coins, which is already issued, there will be quite a large series including 1 gold coin, silver coins, 1 2€ commemorative coin, 1 proof set and the usual Triptych and simple blister sets.

IS dus wel op meer fronten aangepast, er zijn dus 2 gouden munten.

Ook werd er eerder gesproken over meerdere zilveren munten.

Jammer, helaas, ik ben erg teleurgesteld. Kreeg toch weer hoop op een mooie 2 euro herdenkingsmunt, maar zoals het er nu naar uitziet zal deze er dus niet komen...

Wat me wel opvalt is dat het speciale verzamelaars sets zijn die genoemd worden. De 'normale' BU-sets (zonder 10 euromunt) staan er niet tussen en ook de 2 euro herdenkingsmunt "10 jaar euro" voor de circulatie staat er niet tussen.

Op de Duitse Ebay worden van de 10 jr Euromunt coincards aangeboden.
Uitgifte datum 9 april 5000 stuks door de centrale bank van Grikenland.

De datum was mij nog niet bekend, de overige gegevens wel, uitgifteprijs is 4 euro

Bericht van de Griekse Munt met betrekking tot het programma van 2012. De oplages van de twee vermelde BU-sets staan er nog niet bij. Deze zijn nog steeds niet officieel vastgesteld.

2012 Greek Numismatic Program update

Here is an update regarding the 2012 Greek Numismatic Program.

Collectors’ blister skin pack with a 2euro Commemorative Coin issued to celebrate the “10 years of the Euro” (2002-2012). Quantity : 5.000 – Date of issue : 9/4/2012 – 20 pieces per person.

Order form will be posted on our website on 9/4/2012.

- Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) sets of Greek Euro Coins, containing all eight denominations, dedicated to “The island of Santorini” which has been selected to be the winner in a public web voting competition organized by the Travel & Leisure NY, concerning the best island in the world for 2011.

- Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) sets of Greek Euro Coins, comprised of all eight denominations, as well as of one silver collector coin (triptych), dedicated to the famous Greek Doctor George Papanikolaou, commemorated on the 50th anniversary of his death.


- Gold Collector Coin, with the face value of 100€, having two themes: either the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Liberation of the City of Thessaloniki or the Outbreak of the Balkan Wars.

- Mini Gold Collector Coin, with the face value of 50€ dedicated to the Archeological Site of Pella (Macedonia).

- Silver Collector Coin, with the face value of 10€ dedicated to the «Hellenic Culture & Civilization».

- Proof Coin Sets especially for collectors, in limited edition.

De voorlopige oplagecijfers:

- BU-set “The island of Santorini”: 20.000 sets
- BU-set "George Papanikolaou": 10.000 sets

Following the Press Release (12.03.2012) of the Deputy Minister of Finance regarding the Hellenic Numismatic Program of 2012, the General Accounting Office (G.A.O.) is pleased to announce that authorises the Bank of Greece to dispense to the public Triptych Blister Sets, containing all eight denominations of Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) Greek Euro Coins as well as one silver collector coin, dedicated to the famous Greek Doctor George Papanikolaou, commemorated on the 50th anniversary of his death.
The date of release is set to be the 10th of September, 2012 and the selling price 35 euros.
The total mintage is 10.000 Triptych Blister Sets.
Please note that, as far as quantities up to 15 pieces per person are concerned, customers are requested to contact directly the Bank of Greece
(sec.tellers@bankofgreece.gr), whereas for higher volumes one needs to apply for the approval of the 25th Directorate of the General Accounting Office before contacting the Bank.

Opmerkelijk dat de normale 2 euro erbij staat. Eerder heb ik vernomen dat de normale 2 euromunt NIET voor de circulatie zou worden geslagen... Ook zouden de 10 cent t/m 1 euro niet geslagen worden...

Uit doorgaans betrouwbare bron hoor ik nu ook weer dat alleen 1, 2 en 5 cent in rollen worden uitgegeven, blijft dus onduidelijk welke informatie correct is...

Aan de proofset te zien nu de eerste €2 CC van Griekeland in Proof?

Proofset bevat inderdaad de 1 cent t/m 2 euro PLUS de 2 euro herdenkingsmunt "10 jaar euro".

Het is daarmee de eerste 2 euro herdenkingsmunt van Griekenland die in Proofkwaliteit wordt geslagen.

PRESENTATION OF NUMISMATIC PROGRAMME 2012

Dear Sir/Madame,
We inform you that at the webpage of Bank of Greece (www.bankofgreece.gr) – and the Ministry’s as well in a couple of days (www.minfin.gr) - you may see a presentation of the Numismatic Programme 2012.

Please note that the actual mintage of greek euro coins 2012 will depend on the market needs which -for now- show that there is no necessity for euro coins at the nominal values from 0.10€ to 2€.

Dat zou betekenen dat er 'slechts' 21.500 complete sets zijn in de normale kwaliteit en 2.500 Proofsets. Maakt het totaal slechts 24.000 complete sets van 2012. Maar gezien de prijzen bij Slovenië 2012 met een totale oplage van slechts 17.000 sets zal het mee moeten vallen.

May be this is just a mistake in the English version of the numismatic program 2012 - the Greek version give 10.000 .
