Geldkistje for Gulden?

It seems some Dutch coins were of a common size and others maybe not so common. Are there vintage coin trays, coin tubes/holders/wraps or anything at all used to store these currencies? I see such things in USA, USSR, and the UK so maybe NL did same thing?

Alright I stumble around in English looking for these things and find this.



I imagine if someone could give me some Dutch words I could search for things like this and find a style of tray for 1940 and before and something from the 1950s when the size the Gulden changed.

I'd really like to store my circulated Guldens in these.

The picture you posted is of a coin tray from my collection. This particular one was made from 1907 to 1913. It was made to fit the round 5 cents made in 1907, 1908 and 1909. In 1913, this round design was replaced by the square 5 cents.

These old wooden ones are quite rare to find. But if you find one, it will most likely be listed as 'muntlade', 'muntenlade' or 'geldlade'

Thanks for the key words to search for. The only 5 cent I'm familiar with is the silver one from the 1800s but haven't got one yet. If the silver 10 cent is small I wonder what the 5 cent will be.

The Willem III silver 5 cents are indeed tiny. I have a few of those in my collection. But the ones I mentioned in my previous reply are the larger cupronickel ones minted in the 20th century.

I didn't use Reddit after they got rid of rmara or rjailbait. I think I was on some other places.

I've been looking hard for a graded 5 C that is in the highest condition possible but they didn't seem to take care of coins so well that long ago. Of course I'm also outside of Europe so selection is far more limited.
